Watch the fastest IRS Corvette in the world run a seven second ¼ mile

Mark Carlyle's street driven C6 Corvette first earned the title of fastest Independent Rear Suspension equipped Corvette in the world last year, but now it's the only IRS in the world that can travel 1320 feet in less than eight seconds.

Not content with just a record, Carlyle had the record holding Vette rebuilt last winter by IPS Motorsports. Their modifications enabled the car to run the amazing 7.89 second ¼ mile seen here last Saturday. You can see the front of the car perspective of this impressive trip down the strip below.
