Flash flooding in Colorado has left at least three people dead, but rescuers were able to save one man from an overturned car partially submerged in rushing water in a rather dramatic fashion.
CNN reports that this rescue happened earlier this morning in Lafayette, Colorado, where about 7 inches of rain in the area overnight have collapsed homes, broken dams and forced hundreds of evacuations.
This rescue, caught on video by a local TV news crew, happened after crews approached the man's car and handed him a life vest when his car became stuck in the flood water. But then the rushing water caused it flip onto its roof. Fortunately, the firefighters were able to pull the man out.
Not everyone in Colorado has been so lucky. At least three people are dead in incidents related to the storm, according to reports. Everyone stay safe out there.
