Watch Le Mans series pace car mistake and resulting chaos

Pace car confusion, a track peculiarity and eager race drivers combined today at the Le Mans Series 6 hour race at Le Castellet with predictably bad results. When the green lights showed for whatever reason the pace car did not leave the track. The opening straight at the Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track where the event was held features enough of hill that racers of the back could see the start lights, but not the pace car.
