After Denny Hamlin spun out former teammate Joey Logano at today's NASCAR Sprint Cup Food City 500 race, things got a little physical.
The video above (breathlessly listed on NASCAR's official YouTube page with three exclamation marks after the word "fight") shows both Hamlin's tap that led to the spinout and Logano's response after the race ended.
Why did Logano decide to march over and get in Hamlin's face? Because, according to USA Today, he "ain't getting run over and not doing something about it," he said.
"It's frustrating," Logano said. "We've got a freaking genius behind the wheel of the 11 car. Probably the worst teammate I've ever had. So I learn that now. He chose to run into the back of me. So whatever. I have a scorecard. I ain't putting up with that."
And of course, because this is NASCAR in the year 2013, the drivers took to Twitter to start taunting one another:
Hamlin apparently tweeted the response "Why's that.. What would u do?" from his account, but that looks like it's been deleted.
This isn't the first time they've butted heads. After the race at Daytona, Hamlin tweeted Logano's teammate and reigning champion Brad Keselowski to say "sorry I couldn’t get close to you cuz your genius teammate was too busy messing up the inside lane 1 move at a time."
Oh, NASCAR. Please don't ever change.
