The Nissan GT-R isn't known as a slouch in stock form. So when it's tuned, it's really fast. This one just set a world record in the quarter for street legal GT-Rs: 8.61 seconds at 170 MPH. Jeeeeepeers.

The car here is tuned by the GT-R madmen at Switzer Performance, you know, the people who make 1,000 horsepower GT-Rs as easily as an Amish person churns butter or puts up a barn.

This car is pushing 1,300 horsepower and the run was made on DOT legal Mickey Thompson drag radials with E98 in the tank. Seriously impressive stuff. It is tuned rather aggressively, so it might not pass emissions in every state, but it does where the record run was made.
