Last Monday, the staff of Hot Rod magazine towed a 1985 Chevrolet Corvette to Toyota Speedway at Irwindale. They then beat the hell out of it — literally. Predictably, Corvette guys are pissed.
Of course, no one's really surprised here. People taking offense to something? On the Internet? Gasp! (Woo! Sledgehammers!) Shock! (Look, it's going faster!) Horror! (That car will never roll onto the grounds at Bloomington again! Aieeee!)
Fun times. Also, Hot Rod's staff claims that their ass-whooping modifications made the car two seconds a lap faster around Irwindale's road course. Good thing these guys didn't take this too seriously.
