It's got the working title of "Eos," but it's not the latest John Travolta Scientology thriller. It's Volkswagen's long-awaited production version of its Concept C cabrio model, which VW says will debut at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show in September for an spring 2006 sales target. According to Edmunds Inside Line, the "Eos" will be powered by the same turbocharged, 2.0-liter, 200hp power plant as in the Golf GTI. Other markets may get VW's standard, 150hp four, though a 275hp "R36" version of the retractable hardtop is rumored to be in the works.
