VW boss, Bernd Pischetsrieder offerred his company's employees a stern "pep memo," in the face of a recent scandal involving bribery, strippers, resignations, kickbacks and other malfeasances among VW executives, saying recent newspaper headlines have become "unbearable." German tabloids have dogged the company like a rainstorm over a 1979 Rabbit diesel since the scandal was first reported last week. Pischetsrieder had recently told one such paper, Bild the bribery scandal would cost the company "six digits" in damages. Whose digits they'll be is anyone's guess at this point.
