Volvo Reportedly Working on a New Small SUV

Edmunds Inside Line is reporting that Volvo is planning to enter the soon-to-be really annoying crowded small-SUV market, with an undersized XC90 that may be dubbed XC50. Considering Land Rover's new Freelander is on the way, the obvious question is will the Volvo share the C1/D1 platform with the Land Rover? Less obvious ones are: Will it have sufficient Swedishness? Will it look like the Volvo Adventure Concept Car (ACC) of 2001 (pictured)? Will the world be freaking lousy with small SUVs by Thanksgiving 2006? (The answer for that last one is yes.)
