Volvo launched its long-awaited C70 earlier today, ahead of the cabrio's public debut at this year's Frankfurt show in September. Set to ship in the US sometime in spring 2006, the new-generation C70 was designed jointly with Pininfarina. It'll get its get-uppance from Volvo's standard-issue 2.5-liter turbocharged in-line five-banger, producing 218 hp and 236ft/lbs of torque. Rumor has it the C70 will be joined by a smaller cabrio sibling, the C40.
