Volkswagen added a second "new" to its 2006 New Beetle, which the company unveiled today. The newest New Beetle gains a power upgrade via VW's 2.5 liter five-cylinder engine and a stability boost from a new stabilization nanny. Style-wise, it's pretty much a wash, though some sharper lines appear at the wheel wells and bumpers. Larger, more oval headlights; new tail lights, and a mild bumper upgrade comprise the bulk of the outside newness, while a new instrument cluster design with chrome applications to the instruments and air vents make up interior trickage.
