A female spectator was killed Sunday during the NHRA Arizona Nationals when Antron Brown's Top Fuel dragster went out of control and struck the opposite lane wall, sending a rear tire into the crowd. Video below.
The accident occurred when Brown's car went out of control half way down the strip at Firebird International Raceway, crossed lanes and smashed into the retaining wall. The left rear tire seems to be have failed and caused the accident and flew into the crowd striking a female spectator who was airlifted to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix. She was pronounced dead a short time later. Officials are investigating the incident.
