According to a report in the Windsor Star, as reported by Edmunds Inside Line, US Army soldiers in Iraq and elsewhere will soon be riding in a new kind of military-issue vehicle — Minivans. According to the report, the 19,000 gold-painted Chryslers — plus 5,000 Pacificas — will be used for noncombat operations. (Gee, ya think?) While the Minivans will likely save the Army billions of dollars in fuel costs, some soldiers are objecting to the Army's move to rename troop movements "play dates."
