Surprise. Our bag is packed, iPod stocked with obnoxous Deetroit rawk, digicam locked and loaded, dramamine tabs at the ready, and tentative press credentials double-folded and tucked into our European man-purse. If all goes according to plan (don't laugh, we're literally on a wing and a prayer), we'll be covering all the action at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show press days, at the city's Palexpo center beginning Tuesday, March 1.

Yes, we're off to a land where socialites luxuriate in the golden glow of Krugerrands, and car freaks flock to see what kind of trouble the world's automakers can get themselves into. For one, check out the Tramontana (pictured), an extremely exclusive, hand-built, open-wheel sports car aimed at the collector market — only 12 will be built per year. How's that for trouble?

For now, check out some of our pre-Geneva coverage here.
