Update on Superformance Brock Coupe

It was with carelessly giddy fingers that we wrote, last week, of the recent reconciliation between Superformance International and Carroll Shelby, regarding production of the Brock Coupe. A couple of untruths seem to have slipped the bonds of our crackerjack fact-checking team. As it turns out, our beloved coupe will retain the moniker of he who designed the original (Peter Brock), rather than revert to the Shelby name, on whose watch the original Shelby Daytona Coupe was built. Moreover, Superformance dealers won't likely be forced to compete with the Shelby dealer network for sales of the car. (We also inadvertently slipped an extra "per" into the name — Superperformance — which is incorrect.) We regret the errors to the point of mortification.
