We've heard back from Aston Martin regarding "Dirty Shirley" being written on the side of the $1.7 million Aston Martin One-77 and someone chalking up 14 of them. No one was fired, apparently, and it's all a supplier's fault.

Motor Trend originally reported a rumor that three employees were fired over the reference on the side of the car. Aston Martin now says no one was fired and the term was scrawled on the side of the car by a supplier.

They refuse to speculate on what Dirty Shirley means (you can go to Urban Dictionary for a few offensive suggestions), but an Aston Martin spokesperson says they don't assume there was malicious intent, though they were all a little shocked by the popular definitions offered by the web.
