There's no official word from Ford yet, but one of our secret agents operating in deep retail cover informs us a Ford district manager just called to say the company (along with DaimlerChrysler) is preparing to match GM's employee discount program. The agent, known only as The Man Behind the Green Door, says the employee price (known internally as "A-Plan") will be offered on everything except Ford GT and Mustang GT. We kind of knew this would come, since both companies implied they would adopt the plan if GM extended its own — which GM announced earlier today it would do. [Update: It's official.]
