Michael Keaton's 'Batcar' Is For Sale In A Houston Suburb

I love that scene in the 1989 Batman movie where the eponymous hero runs out of the museum and we see his car for the first time. It looks violent, mean, and downright terrifying, even if probably scrapes on speed bumps. Now you can own your own, as one seller in a Houston suburb has a "Batcar" for sale.

Yes, "Batcar." Not "Batmobile," but "Batcar." It doesn't have quite the same panache, but it's a lot more lawsuit-friendly. That's what's on offer in the H-Town suburb of Kingwood here on Craigslist.

The seller says it's based on a Corvette chassis, presumably a C5, and has an LS1 V8. Also, the body looks really impressive — as far as Michael Keaton Batmobile copies go, this one is pretty damn good.

Until we move inside, where we see what I can only describe as the laziest Batmobile interior conversion ever. If you had any doubts what the donor car is, just take a seat. I'm not sure what those switches do, though. Maybe it has working machine guns like that shitty recession-tastic Nissan Batmobile from a while back.

All this can be had for the low, low price of... um, $125,000. I think I'll have to get back to him on that.
