We have heard of all sorts of non-Muslim fighters heading over to Iraq and even Syria to fight ISIS alongside Kurdish forces. These two ex-British soldiers did just that, and they give an incredible first-hand account of what doing so is like. It seems that in some ways the hardest battle when it comes to such an expedition maybe surviving back at home once your tour is over.
