Tuning the Mini Cooper, New and Old

Some amazing folks at GoMini.com had the brilliant idea to stuff Honda VTEC engines into old-style Mini Cooper bodies. The result is an awesome display of classic rally prowess powered by modern import tuner technology. The 175-195 hp Honda powerplants can propel the reworked featherweights from zero to 60 in 5.0 seconds, to a top speed of 135 mph (or choose the Type R motor and hold on to your seat). The company offers turnkey Minis as well as DIY conversion kits. [Thanks to Brock for the tip!]
