Why were people buying Pontiac Firebirds in 1986? According to this vintage dealer promo from the Pontiac "newsroom" it was—among a variety of other reasons—because people were looking to make a statement that was "just as characteristic as the car itself".
From detailing the incomparable character of the third generation F-body to explaining the reasons 25-44 year olds were known to purchase Firebirds (Fuel Economy?), this duo highlighted all of the strengths of the Pontiac while explaining in amazing detail exactly why the Mustang and Celica GT couldn't "cut the mustard".
Obviously these two Pontiac stooges believe the Firebird is the clear cut winner, but given the choice between these three "sporty" mid 80s two doors which one would you choose?
