The UK's Guardian goes where the US media fears to tread, using the B word to describe GM's business condition. No need to look far. Just check out David Gow's lead in his report today on Toyota's possible overtaking of GM as the world's largest carmaker next year:
Toyota, the ultra-profitable Japanese group, is set to overtake near-bankrupt General Motors as the world's biggest carmaker as early as next year, it emerged yesterday.
Ouch. He goes on to indicate Toyota's expansion plans will likely coincide with GM's need to cut production. In other words, the cuneiform is on the wall.
