Toyota Tacoma sales increased by 6.9% last month over April 2013, but year-to-date sales of the pickup are still down 6.4% compared to last year. The Tundra on the other hand is rockin' and rollin' with an 18.1% sales increase from this time a year ago.

Toyota sold 13,871 Tacomas last month for a total of 49,100 to date in 2014, and 10,217 Tundras bringing the bigger truck sales to 37,619 so far this year.

Nissan is having relatively good luck with the small Frontier pickup, moving 23,559 in the last four months, up a whopping 35.9% from 2013. But the Titan is wallowing, selling 30.5% worse than it was at this time last year. Nissan has only sold 4,274 Titans in 2014.

If Nissan needed any more proof of how desperately their full-size pickup wants a reboot, I think they've found it.
