According to a study by J.D. Power and Associates, silver is the most popular car color this year — accounting for 24.1 percent of sales. Still, market research indicates silver may not hold the top spot for long. "Impact" colors, like yellow, red and royal blue are gaining in popularity among buyers looking to stand out in their new rides. Even brown is making a comeback among some buyers. Sadly, chartreuse is still not even in the top 100.
