Tomnod has launched a crowd sourcing effort, in searching for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight 370. The Boeing 777-200 has now been missing over 72 hours without a trace. While speculation and theories abound, it couldn't hurt to have a few thousand extra pairs of eyes to help out on the search.
Using satellite images captured Sunday morning, searchers can tag anything they see that's relevant to the search, including oil slicks, rafts and wreckage. Even if nothing is found as a result of this campaign, it's pretty amazing that the technology to do this is even possible.
Previous Tomnod campaigns have been formed during the Syrian Crisis, Super Typhoon Haiyan, and to help look for Christopher Columbus' ship, the Nina.
