Woe to those who cruise the countryside in trucks the size of small towns. Worldwide demand for Mining equipment is causing a shortage of the tires on which such operations roll. It's not like these guys can just roll up to Sears Auto Center and grab a copy of Field and Stream. The tires, which cost $30,000 each and take an entire day to produce, are being snapped up as fast as companies can make them. By 2007, industry analysts estimate and there will be far more buyers than tires.
