Speed-limit opponents, who point to Montana's declining traffic-fatality rate in light of its elimination of speed limits for vindication — can check off partial wins in three US states. In Texas, Iowa and Indiana, speed limits on rural interstates have been revised in favor of the leadfoot. Texas upped limits to 80mph, while Indiana and Iowa increased its highest legal speed to 70mph. No word on whether the states will follow through on constructing controversial "Gumball Rally" lanes.
