This Ridiculous Rolling Deathtrap Makes A Go-Kart Look Like A Space Ship

“You can feel every ripple in the road,” Mark Walker affectionately says about his GN Thunderbug. The “car” is basically a baby carriage with an old airplane engine strapped to it.

“You’d be hard pressed to get into a car that’s nicer to drive than one of these,” says Walker, allowing me no qualms in asserting that he’s obviously insane.

The Thunderbug sure is something special to look at. But the sound, oh baby that sound. Don’t you dare watch this video without audio. And really, the only person truly qualified to talk about this car is the man who built it.

And yes, when he says “engine from a Tiger Moth” I do believe he’s talking about a pre-WWI-era airplane.

Turns out you can make your own “vintage” vehicle.
