This American-built EMD GT46C-ACe weighs more than 200-tons. When port workers in Owendo, Gabon, in Central West Africa, were unloading it from a ship, one of the support cables snapped and the thing fell at least 20 feet.

Although 20 feet doesn't sound like a catastrophic drop, let's remember that the bigger they are, the harder they fall. There's a chance that whoever was in charge of tying the knots that day might be looking for a new job right now. Then again, maybe the manganese mining company the train was going to is a turn-the-other-cheek lot. You never know.
