You never know when something is going to go wrong on a racetrack, but when it does you quickly begin to appreciate the importance of good safety equipment. We imagine the driver of this 1972 Triumph Spitfire would be among the first to agree with this sentiment.

This video was taken during a vintage race at Robling Road Raceway in Bloomingdale, Ga. Everything seems to be going fine until a rear axle snapped, sending the driver on a wild ride that we're sure he won't soon forget.

Thanks to his safety equipment this driver was able to walk away from the crash with nothing to worry about except for his mangled vintage Triumph. Thanks to the in-car camera we can all experience a high speed rollover from a driver's perspective without having to deal with the bumps and bruises or the inevitable hassle of rebuilding your Spitfire.
