Basically, you don’t do it and go off on your own. That’s what the crew from Icon Raiden did with their beaten, battered, and bruised Triumph Tigers at the Alcan 5000. Sure, they didn’t win any trophies, but does it really matter?

The Alcan 5000 runs from Seattle, up through British Columbia and Alberta, into the Northwest and Yukon Territories, and eventually to Anchorage. The circuitous route takes teams in everything from vintage cars to ADVs over 4,700 miles through nearly every kind of terrain imaginable.

Icon put together a short film of the Raiden’s journey and you can read their dispatches from the road here. And as a bonus, here’s the film they shot during the Mexican 1000.
