I feel for all you folks who are about to get pounded by Hurricane Sandy on the East Coast. Most of the news reports I've seen say it could be one of the worst storms the region has seen in decades.
Hopefully you've spent the last day hoarding batteries, spam, umbrellas, gold, or your neighbor's good-looking wife in preparation for the looming Hurricaneopocalypse.
As reader Beardee notes, storms like these make people do extreme things. He sent us this photo of a fellow in Danville, Penn. who is hell-bent on hauling a chest freezer home in his Hyundai Tiburon. You have to admire his ingenuity. I hope the 'Tib driver at least consulted his owners' manual before he rigged that thing together.
If you have any extreme photos of automotive hurricane preparation, and you still have electricity, feel free to post them in the comments below. Stay safe out there!
H/T to Beardee for the photo!
