Self parking systems have been around for over a decade, but the spacially inept still have to be in the car for the system to do its thing. However, if you get creative, there's a workaround, as Romanian rally driver Valentin Porcișteanu demonstrates here.

At the local launch of the BMW i3, Porcișteanu managed to hack the Parking Assist button to stay pressed, possibly through the use of some duct tape and a playful disregard for press vehicles.

With the system engaged, he Bo Duked his way out of the driver's window and stood nervously by as the i3 did it's thing. Impressive, for sure, but we'd prefer something with OEM approval.
