There are a lot of peculiar carmakers out there. Some, like Morgan, make cars with wood in the frame while Citroen has made a career on having some of the most insane interiors in the world.
And then there's Wiesmann, which builds a traditional British sports car. In Germany. With BMW mechanicals. In a factory that looks like a gecko.
Wiesmann was started by a couple of brothers in the 1980s, and the first car rolled off the assembly line in 1993. Over the course of the last 20 years, the cars have gotten faster and faster and handled better and better.
Now, Wiesmann has this, the insanely cool looking GT MF5. It's a 3,100 pound coupe with the 550 horsepower V8 straight out of the BMW X5M. That makes for some serious firepower.
And one hell of a noise.
