When it comes to innovations in automotive design, technology, and forward-thinking ideas, few countries are on the cutting edge the way China is. The rising nation seems like an endless fountain of originality that constantly keeps us wondering what new ideas they'll come up with next. Case in point: the all-new electric Aoxin Ibis sedan.

Our friends over at Car News China highlighted the new Ibis today, and I gotta say, it's going to be, as the Car Bros once trolled, "the hottest thing out of China since Orange Chicken."

What's that, you say? It looks just like a Tesla Model S? No way! You're totally wrong. It's different. Further, how dare you imply that a Chinese company would stoop so low as to make a knockoff of another product? You should be ashamed of yourself.

Just look at the side profile, the shape of the silver piping around the windows, the smoked-out taillights. It's completely different from a Model S.

The curvaceous profile also isn't lifted from the Model S, so stop suggesting it. The grille also evokes manufacturers like Maserati and Buick. See? It's different.

Now look at the center panel. It's a big touch screen, like an iPad. You think Tesla could come up with an idea that original? Don't make me laugh.

Now check out the Aoxin logo. As you can see, it's also totally different from Tesla's.

Car News China says the Ibis is further different from the Model S in that it's longer and lighter. It's powered by a 360V triple-lithium polymer battery located under the floorboards that powers three electric motors. Range is claimed to be 285 miles or more than 320 miles if kept to an average speed of 60 km/h.

What will they think of next?
