Something unusual about this parked van caught my eye as I strolled past, but it took a second to figure out what was the deal. Then, of course, it became clear: someone had cleaned out every junkyard in the area of 70s Detroit land-barge opera lights and installed them all on his Dodge van (apologies for the crapola camera-phone shots)...
I'm having a tough time putting my finger on the exact make and model of the donor cars, but I'm leaning toward a full-sized FoMoCo product from the mid-to-late-70s era. In any case, 30 junkyard opera lights (I counted) on an otherwise unremarkable beater van gets the Jalopnik Seal of Approval. It's just disappointing that I didn't get the chance to see them at night, in all their glory.
