Think The Stutz Diplomatica Is Too Restrained? Zimmer Golden Spirit!

Back in the early 1980s, a real high roller with ample white-powder resources and no sense of taste whatsoever had several Detroit-land-yacht-based glitzmobiles to choose from. There's some debate about which was the most ostentatious, but there's no doubt the Zimmer Golden Spirit is a heavy contender for the crown. This particular vehicle has quite a story behind it, being formerly owned by the Serbian Ambassador and, later, his Palm Springs-based wife Vera (who, if we are to take the eBay description seriously, was dubbed the "Mother of Serbia"). Yes, that Zimmer! [eBay]

@Daga: Thanks for reminding me, I know what all of these cars are missing. Bullhorns.

They build these in Syracuse (Genesse St.), apparently, I'll have to get some pictures for your grotesque viewing pleasure when I go back to school. Love how the gas cap feeds straight into the "canvas" trunk. Real Recaro seats! That golden eagle on the front is crooked, possibly from goring hapless peasantry Death Race/Carmageddon style.

Then again, what'd you expect from the woman who lived in Sinatra's house? Next to Liberace?
