These Are The Ugliest Trucks Of All Time

From Chevrolet to Subaru, these are the trucks that you think are the ugliest out there

There are a few things that America does better than most: BBQ, excessive military spending and pickup trucks. None of those are particularly attractive things, least of all pickup trucks.

But it's not just America that builds ugly trucks (though they are the best at it) it turns out the whole word has tried its hand at this particular pastime, which means there's a whole heap of vile vehicles out there claiming to be utilitarian. To find out just which trucks might be the worst, though, we turned to you and asked for your picks for the ugliest pickup trucks of all time.

Thankfully, you came back with a whole host of awful answers that weren't just the Cybertruck... although that particular monstrosity may have made an appearance once or twice. So, why not start your day off with a bang with our roundup of the ugliest trucks of all time, as chosen by the lovely readers of Jalopnik.

Have we missed a truck that you think is terrible? Let us know in the comments below.

Chevrolet Silverado 2500

"Cybertruck aside, I'm with you. I can't stand to look at these GM twins.

"Like, come on. How much grill do we need? Why does the hood have to be six feet high? These two look like they should just tip right over on their noses from a standstill."

"Cybertruck aside" was a popular start to answers today.

Chevrolet Silverado 1500

"I think the 1500s are worse. This attempt at a front end design has not grown on me at all. I'll concede the HD pictured above is also ugly AF."

The grille within a grille that you find on modern Silverados has not gone down well among Jalopnik readers.

Dodge D-100

"Dodge D-100 Sweptside. Woof."

What do you mean tail fins don't work on a pickup?

Hummer H3T

"Hummer H3."

Got to love an efficient commenter, straight to the point.

Honda Ridgeline

"I have an early Gen2 Ridgeline, which probably cracks the top 10 for ugliest trucks. Fortunately, the rest of the truck more than makes up for it, and that is saying a lot since truck buyers are some of the most vain vehicle buyers out there. Still, a lot of folks can't pony up the cajones to take that leap."

It's good at other stuff, don't worry.

Ram 2500

"I hated the first run of Rams with the big truck grille, but at this point it's almost become quaint. Still, it set the trend for the monstrosities we see everywhere today so the slow-burn of my hate for it continues."

Was this the truck that opened the floodgate of awful grille designs?

Subaru Brat

"1978 Subaru Brat. Gaaaaaahhhh"

The Brat walked so that the Baja could run.

Nissan Titan

"I've never met a Nissan Titan that I couldn't refer to ugly. From the first generation until now. Bonus points for the ugly as hell full size van too that's based on the ugly as hell Titan."

Further proof that it's not just America that makes ugly trucks.

Studebaker Champ

"Going back in time a bit, but the early 60's Studebaker Champ that had a mismatched bed. The 'stepside' version didn't look any better."

An oldie, but a baddie.

Toyota Tundra

"Current Tundra (why did they make it look like a constipated Hulk Hogan?), and the Silverado and Sierra since about 2019 or so – especially the HD models. All offensively ugly.

"The Cyberyuck isn't exactly ugly on its own, but it is awkward-looking, and is clearly a compromised design for its intended purpose. So that makes it bad, rather than ugly."

That's quite the collection of ugly trucks you've got there.

Ford Explorer Sport Trac

"I mean the low hanging fruits are the GM twins and the Cybertruck.

"The 08-10 Ford Superduty is pretty awful.

"My pick would be the Ford Explorer Sport Trac."

Please can I go back in time to yesterday, when I didn't know this existed.

Dodge Dakota

"I'd call a toss-up between the third generation Dodge Dakota (the really angular one you never see) and the heavy duty GM trucks with the French pre-Dreadnought design language.

"I will defend the jelly bean F-150 as something different and a move away from increasingly aggressive styling. I think a mono tone one still looks good like my red XLT 'Long Truck'."

Whether you call it a Dodge or a Ram, it's still ugly.

Fiat Toro

"Fiat Toro. Ugly, with a small bed, FWD platform, bad fuel consumption and still one of the most successful trucks in Brazil."

Alright, admit it, who thought that a Fiat would get suggested?

Tesla Cybertruck

"Everyone is avoiding the obvious choice by name so just put me on the record for saying Cybertruck is the clear and obvious choice.

"It looks like it was designed by an eight-year-old, and it's shitty angles make it actually perform worse as a truck since it affects the usability of the truck bed.

"They look terrible on the road, all high and sharp angles. The rear end is so high and the front so low, I can't even begin to imagine the visibility issues in this thing.

"And that's not even mentioning the fact that the stainless steel on most examples already looks like it's been corroding in some redneck's front yard for years."

Alright, here's the answer you all came for.
