There Is Absolutely Nothing Better Than A Bricklin Burnout

We may earn a commission from links on this page.

The Bricklin SV-1 is known for a great many things – safety, gullwing doors, an insatiable, burning hunger for poutine that, despite its voracious and menacing appetite, can never be satisfied – but burnouts is not one of those things. And while it was a bit of a Canadian, it did come with a big honking American V8. Which makes for beautiful cross-border smoke.

Actually, two different American V8s were used, depending on when you bought your Bricklin. Either an AMC V8, or the Ford Windsor V8, though I’m not sure it matters when you’re destroying tires.

My kingdom for the ability to do burnouts with my big gullwing doors open.
