There are a few pieces of car engineering that are immediately evocative of particular time periods: dual-clutch transmissions bring to mind recent sports and super cars. Carburetors remind us of vintage racecars. Split-windows necessarily refer to pre-World War II family sedans. Or do they?
We saw the Consulier GTP today, and it reminded us of the Mosler Raptor, an evolution of that Consulier. The Raptor had a seriously out-there split front windshield and was produced from 1997 to the year 2000.
As far as we know, that was the last split-front-windshield car. Show us a newer one, if you can, and of course the old and great split window coupes.
