In his latest rant, Farago carves Detroit a new intake port for failing to keep pace with broad technological trends. The failings he perceives range from the relatively simple, like their poor use of the Web to launch and sell vehicles, to the mind-bendingly complex, like their inability for follow PC makers into the realm of mass customization. And the Detroit auto show? Just an antiquated, shortsighted corporate swindle. And those are its good points.
