When Mercedes chief Eckhard Cordes said recently Mercedes-Benz may no longer aim for the top of JD Power's initial quality list, many would argue he jammed one of his Mephisto Oxfords into his mouth, considering Merc is currently at list's bottom. Still, as Robert Farago puts forth in his latest rant, Cordes's confrontation, which calls to question J.D. Power's methodology and industry power, is valid and necessary. If only he didn't have a mouthful of sour grapes.
