10.) The Two Car Garage


In a Mini would purchase a Porsche 918 with the Weissach-pack, plus a Miata. Two excellent daily driving track machines indeed.

9.) A Heavy Duty Mercedes-Benz Fanatic


Automatch Tom would spend third of his money on a fleet of Mercedes military trucks, then get a Singer Porsche, a pre-owned E63 AMG wagon, a DeTomaso Pantera, a classic Camaro, a Mazda RX-3 and a GMC Sierra for those rainy days.

8.) The Fastest Range Rover

All the right reasons from Skinnayyyy:

This was actually kind of a conversation that my fiance and I were having for what car's we would buy. (this is also assuming that I have the garage space for it)

1970ish Hemi Barracuda for my dad. He talks about how back when he was younger he was going to buy one but couldn't afford the insurance and blah blah blah so I'd get it for him now. 100k

New jeep Wrangler for my fiances wife - She loves Wranglers. She's had one for a while and it's just been falling apart. Once it gets fixed something else breaks. 40k

Nicely done older Caddy - for my fiances dad because he too bought one that he loved, but once again... he paid x for it, but would have had to spend 5x on it to get it reliable after driving it for a week. 60k

New car for my mom - she deserves a new car but doesn't have a preference. 30k

Ariel Atom, supercharged, with a lot of carbon fiber and upgrades. 100k

Aprilia RSV4 factory - I'm getting the normal RSV4 as soon as I can, but since I have a million to blow, mine as well get the factory model as well. 25k

Range Rover Sport SVR - because why not get the SVR. My fiance has always loved the RR, and I figure since I'll be doing the driving, mine as well get the fastest one. 200k?

Low miles, stock, Honda S2000 - This is my dream car. I want it stock, but I'll throw some money at it to make it not stock, but it'll be in my way, not some one elses. 40k for car, 30k in modifications.

Acura NSX... because NSX. 75k

The 300k left over can go to insuring all the cars for a couple years. I don't need anymore than that.

7.) Both Ends Of The Spectrum


How do you balance out a bunch of gas guzzlers? With Elon Musk, obviously. driedsponge:

Ariel Atom 3.5 ~$100k: Track car for weekend fun.

Ford GT ~$250k: Collectible show car. Nice day cruiser. Plus the occasional track outing.

Tesla Model S ~$110k: Daily commuter for work and chores.

Ford F-150 SVT Raptor (4door) ~$80k: Family hauler, plus I would need something to trailer the Atom to the racetrack.

Dodge (SRT) Viper ~$110k: Because if we don't buy them, they will soon disappear, and I don't want to live in a world where the Viper does not exist.

That totals ~$650k. The rest of the money will go to taxes, insurance, gas, track fees, racing lessons, and a trailer for the Atom.

I'd buy a small farm, and fill it with Subarus of all ages, including...

Subaru FF-1 Sports, R2, Legacy Touring GT-B, SVX, WRX STi Version VI, Leone GSR, Forester (SH).

And many others not listed. I might even throw in some other (non-Subaru) Japanese gems. I think this would be doable for $1 Million.

5.) A Bunch Of Big Turbos


reserveparachute will have to cut the F40, but the rest of his list is totally doable.

Let's hope he can get his Kamaz Dakar truck, Renault R5 Turbo, Audi Sport Quattro, Lancia Startos replica, Toyota Celica GT-Four, Audi RS6 Avant and guess what...A Miata!

My X-type is too a real Jaguar spent 30 minutes putting together his ultimate list. Respect!

Every car collection needs 2 things a pre-war car and a V-12. This 1935 Lincoln for $59,000 fills both those bills nicely…

Gotta have a Series 1 E-Type, but nicely restored running examples are 6 figures these days unless you find one with a Ford 351 under the hood. $49,488…

Gotta have a Classic Cadillac Convertible for parade duty and general cruising this 1966 for $23,900 is a good call.…

We need something from the 80s, this 50,000 mile grand national should do the trick for $21,500…

A Ferrari is important, but it needs to be a convertible otherwise no one could see you, since I like pop up headlights the 355 is my choice. $74,900…

I love the Ford GT enough to blow a quarter of the budget on one. $264,900…

If you have all this stuff you need to have the ability to tow so $40,980 for a crew cab F350…

You'll need a trailer as well $20,499…

You need a track car, a 2006 Porsche 911 for $69,000 fits the bill nicely…

Every collection needs an ultra rare muscle car Hurst Olds for me $89,000…

I need a daily driver so a 2013 XFR for $82,900 fits the bill…

3.) The Dealer


How to drive the best cars while making money? Enthusiast dealership. cazzyodo:

While the thought of having oodles of vehicles (and a garage for them) was appealing I kind of want to find a different direction. Why not start a small dealership (of your choice...preferably for fun affordable cars after the Jalopnik reader model of excellence) and explode the dealer model.

Sure, I'm a Ford dealer but I only sell Mustangs and STs...maybe a Raptor.

Test drive? Sure...lets hit the autocross track that takes up space where all the Escapes would have been.

Having said that, if you get a million dollars in a bag at some point, just buy an F40. They won't get cheaper, and you always wanted one.
