You didn’t forget about buying holiday gifts again, did you? Whatever, it’s fine. I’m not judging. In fact, I’m here to help. Get your act together and pick up one of these ten cheap last-minute gearhead-friendly gifts before it’s too late.
As we sometimes do, we included some Amazon links in case you need to buy this crap NOW and express-ship it to someone before Friday. You’re welcome.
10.) A Multi-Tool
A Multi-Tool is a lifesaver and a must-have for every handy car lover. When out on the roads in a not-so trustworthy project car, you never know what can happen or what parts might fall off. If you don’t want to carry a fully equipped toolbox around with you, this is basically the next best thing.

9.) Money
Money is the answer to many things, including one of the best last-minute gifts for a gearhead. You know they like cars but you just can’t pinpoint what their perfect gift might be? Maybe you don’t have to. Throw a bill or two their way, or in gift card form if you want to be classy, and let them find the gift come to them.

8.) Mille Bornes
Those expensive video games like Forza and Gran Turismo are neat but for the enthusiast gift-giver on a budget, they can also be hard to wrap a wallet around. For more than 60 years, Mille Bornes has brought the excitement of the racing world to a low-priced card game delivered to car guys around the world.

7.) A Gas Gift Card
Gas is a thing that car guys need. Any and all pennies that can be devoted to that great cause are very much appreciated. Stop by your favorite gas station and pick up a fuel gift card with a value of your choosing, and send it on its way to your receiver.

6.) Work Gloves
Though some gearheads live for every chance to soak their once clean hands into oily and gunky surfaces, a pair of good work gloves always seems to come in handy. Need to work around hot surfaces inside the engine compartment? Dealing with sharp surfaces and your hands are already chopped up? Gloves can be your friends.

5.) Craftsman Bottle Opener
No other bottle openers can compare to the Craftsman bottle opener. It might look at home in your toolbox, but this special instrument is much more useful than a 3/4 combination wrench. It can open beverages! Including many of the alcoholic kind! It’s both a novelty and practical.

4.) A Wrench Set
Even if your beloved car guy gift recipient already has a decent set of tools, chances are, he or she has lost some of those tools over time. It happens. No one wants to be working on their car in an emergency situation and find that the one tool they actually need is gone. Send a new tool kit their way. Oh and if I were you, I would splurge for one that included ratcheting wrenches, those things are true life-savers.

3.) A Detailing Kit
A good set of detailing equipment can help keep a gearhead’s ride looking concours-ready day in and day out. Whether you go for a premium kit from the likes of Ammo NYC or something more standard like what Meguiar’s has to offer, it’s the thought that counts, and this will show just how deeply you really thought it all out.

2.) A Cordless Impact Driver
Breaker bars are for chumps. Specifically, chumps that have not yet been gifted a cordless impact driver. Much like gloves and the Multi-Tool, it’s always great to have a charged cordless impact driver around. You never know what troubles you might have when out on the road, and a cordless impact driver can help any gearhead be one step ahead of the problem.

1.) Hot Wheels
A single, well thought-out hot wheels model can be one of the most simple, easy to find, and most-appreciated gifts a car guy can receive. Know their favorite car? Try your best to find it in Hot Wheels form. It can do wonders.
