I’m a child of the 80s, with an affinity for songs like this. It’s a 5 star song in my iTunes, and it will get played two to four times a month. I won’t tire of it anytime soon.

Don’t Disturb This Groove (the album) was their fourth, and the most popular of the four here in the US. Their first album, Sweat, included the song “You Are In My System” which is the only other single and album release they had to hit the top 100. The song would later be covered by Robert Palmer, and he got The System keyboardist David Frank to play on it. It did worse on the top 100 than The System’s version (78 compared to 64).

The System disbanded after their 5th album in 1989.
