Surf-clothing and accessories manufacturer Quiksilver teamed up with Mazda to add some extreme-sports panache to the new Mazda5. We remember being at the SEMA show right around the time of the Matrix launch and having a PR flack tell us that they thought the Matrix was gonna be the next big thing with the kids. So far, that hasn't really proven the case, and we wonder if the 5 isn't gonna fall into the same not-quite trap that Toyota tumbled into with the Matrix. Still, hope springs eternal in the land of the Rising Sun.
