Mercedes will show a slant back SUV Coupe concept at the Beijing Auto Show, and it'll be creatively called the Mercedes-Benz Concept Coupe SUV. All we have to say is thanks a lot BMW.
The Concept Coupe SUV, which is expected to enter production as the MLC SUV, is a direct shot at the BMW X6, a car that doesn't really need to exist in the first place. But because BMW has proliferated into every single niche, even ones that didn't exist before, Mercedes and soon Audi will need to compete in all of them.
Expect the MLC to look very much like this concept when it goes on sale. And expect it to have the same disadvantages as the X6, which are less rear headroom, a smaller trunk, and no rear visibility.
