Motorsports fans may soon see more of the Lotus Exige on racetracks around the world, if Lotus Sport, the performance division of Lotus Cars, decides to build more duplicates of a one-off race car based on the Exige it completed recently. Please, Lotus, don't make us beg.
The high-performance version, the only one of its kind, was purchased by a South East Asian client to compete in sportscar races in Asia. Alas, the standard view of the Lotus Sport Exige will likely be a blur of black carbon fiber, viewed at trackside, as propelled by a 400 hp GM three-liter V6 racing engine tuned by Swindon Racing. As yet, Lotus has no plans to build these things as a matter of course. Bollocks.
