It’s been over 12 years since The Killers released “When You Were Young.” I was in junior high school in Kansas at the time, and no matter where I went, the song was on the radio pretty much nonstop. It was just one of a bunch of bangers that the Las Vegas band, led by Brandon Flowers, was churning out in those days, including: “Mr. Brightside,” “All These Things That I’ve Done,” “Human,” “Somebody Told Me,” “Read My Mind,” and a the list goes on.
