DISCUSSION

Can we step back for a moment?

Buff mags are the only reason that there needs to be advanced release. The magazines need a long lead time to make sure that pictures and information get into the issue that is contemporary with the auto show.

If there were no magazines, the marketing goons could release pictures and press releases the morning of the unveiling and be sure that they would be on the car sites within hours (minutes?).

The risk of the embargoes is created by the need to feed the incestuous magazine/automaker relationship.
